Principal's message
Dear families,
Welcome to week 4 of term 1. It has been a busy week which will end with our annual swimming carnival! The swimming carnival is a wonderful event for the school community to come together and celebrate the accomplishment of their peers. We are looking forward to maximum participation and many examples of our children upholding our school values. As the swimming carnival is a water-based activity, we do ask all families to discuss general safety around water and the importance of following both teacher and lifeguard directions. On the day additional staff have been employed to provide maximum supervision and support for students. We are looking forward to a great day of teamwork!
School leaders
Congratulations to all students who put their hands up to be our 2020 School leaders. It always impresses me at how articulate our students are when presenting to an audience. All speeches demonstrated a commitment to the school, our values and the importance of student voice. Being a school leader is an important role and it is expected that all leaders will uphold the school values and work towards fulfilling our School’s Vision.
It is our vision that Campbell Primary School:
Is a happy, fun, welcoming and safe learning community, which recognises and celebrates diversity.
Offers innovative, engaging and varied curriculum and programs.
Meets the needs of all students with relevant and personalised learning and support.
Ensures everyone feels supported with a strong sense of belonging.
Demonstrates positive and productive relationships among all: students, staff and parents.
I would like to congratulate and introduce, our 2020 school leaders voted into their positions by our student body:
Amelia R
Billie W (vice)
Harisen S
Henry D (vice)
Ms Kinsman’s Hot read?
Reading can take us to a magical place of imagination! It exposes students to rich vocabulary and provides excellent examples of what good reading and writing sounds and looks like. If we want our children to read and write confidentially then providing frequent exposure to quality texts provides a fun and engaging way to help students get excited about their learning.
This is my hot read for the week!
Ms Kinsman’s writing challenge?
Ms Kinsman is getting a new puppy! Her name is Millie.
Looking at this picture she looks like she might be a little bit cheeky! As Ms Kinsman has not met Millie yet, she is wondering what her personality will be like. What do you think? Can you write a little story about: The Adventures of Millie the French Bulldog?
Ms Kinsman would love to get a collection of stories from the wonderful writers at Campbell Primary School!!!!
School drop off and pick up
We have had several children being dropped off before 8.am and collected after 4.00pm. Please be advised that If students are being dropped off before 8.30am or picked up after 3.15pm they should be booked into our before/after school care program.
Students catching buses are expected to catch the most suitable bus service to get them to school at a reasonable time. We appreciate that some services may drop off a little bit outside of above times. It is our expectation that students catching the bus behave in a manner that positively represents the school.
