Principal's Message

Kinsman_Paula.jpg

Dear families,

It has been such a wonderful week with the return to school for our children in Preschool, Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 6.  We are really looking forward to seeing our Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 students next week.

To support a smooth transition for the return of all students, we have included our FAQs information that was sent last week in this newsletter.  Please take a moment to read the information carefully as how the school operates including drop offs and pick ups look quite different. We understand that some of the changes add complexities and appreciate your understanding as the school complies with the Health Directions.

World Teachers'Day

Today in Australia, we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, however, at Campbell Primary School we have rebranded and have called it World Educators’ Day to be inclusive of all our staff who form the village around our students.

I feel that today is the most fitting time for me to thank and congratulate the wonderful staff at Campbell Primary School for going above and beyond to keep our children engaged in learning and connected during our remote learning period.  It is extremely challenging to maintain strong connections with students and families through a computer screen, but I believe by using Google Meets, break out rooms, small group activities, telephone conversations and of course little surprises from Stanley Stag, our Educators absolutely NAILED IT!

It is a privilege to work with such an amazing group of professionals including our teachers, learning support assistance and administration staff. They go above and beyond every day.  They don’t just do their job; they live their job! Our Educators operate with a strong sense of responsibility and compassion for the young people in their care which shines through each day.

I would also like to acknowledge our CASAC and canteen staff who also form an integral part of our community and demonstrate the shared values of supporting our students.  I am in constant awe of the creative and innovative ways they continue to provide engaging activities and events to support both the school and families.

A HUGE shout out to the Campbell Primary School P&C, who have kindly funded the school to provide all our wonderful educators a special lunch today.  Although we must maintain social distancing and ‘cohorting’ requirements, it is still nice to know that everyone at CPS and CASaC have a special meal to enjoy.
