This term, Living Arts Canberra, a not for profit arts and community media organisation, has been working with Year 6 students and teachers on the production of content for Kids on the Radio on Living Arts Canberra internet radio stream and podcasts page at www.livingartscanberra.com.au

The goal of the Kids on the Radio education program is to teach primary school children some of the principles of good journalism and effective radio within the disciplines of media and ethics. Year 6 at Campbell chose to undertake research into areas of concern in society and to present their findings in the form of prepared interviews. These were recorded with each child taking the role of both interviewer and interviewee. The files were then edited for audio quality and produced into roughly half hour programs.

The programs will air on Wednesdays at 4pm and Saturdays at 1pm starting on 18 December and continuing throughout the January school holidays.
