Principal's Message
We have all made it to the final week of term 3 and it certainly has been a memorable 10 weeks! I would like to take a moment to thank and acknowledge the immense efforts, flexibility and support of our Campbell Primary School community.
Thank you to our teachers who have continued to deliver the Australian Curriculum, provide feedback, and support engagement and well-being through the remote learning platforms. Many hours have been spent creating online resources, filming, explicitly teaching and responding daily to student and parent queries as we endeavour to work in collaboration with families during this challenging time.
Thank you to our support staff who are assisting in supporting students and families and for their commitment behind the scenes to keeping the business side of schools ticking. Thank you also to the CPS staff for participating in additional professional learning that has been required to prepare for remote teaching.
Importantly, thank you to our students and families for your overwhelming support and commitment. We are very mindful of the demands of working and supporting schooling from home and understand that this can be challenging (many of the CPS staff are also in the same situation). The safety and well-being of our children is our priority, and we understand that each family’s circumstances are unique. Please stay connected and reach out if you need support or a listening ear. You can call the school during business hours on 61423680 where there is always a member of the leadership team available to talk with you.
We wish everyone a relaxing two-week break, hopefully away from computer screens! As per recent announcements, we will see you all back online for the commencement of Term 4.
Remote Learning continues in Term 4
The ACT Government continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ACT is currently in lockdown and students are learning remotely.
All families who can keep their children home have been asked to do so.
Schools will continue to remain open and provide supervised remote learning to children and young people who cannot reasonably learn from home.
Remote learning will continue for all students from pre-school to year 10 during the first four weeks of term 4, which begins on Tuesday 5 October. Plans regarding the return to school will be guided by ACT Government Health advice.
