NAIDOC Week Assembly
NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islander Day Observance Committee. On Friday, we celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Stait Islander cultures. Two Year-6 school leaders, Malaki and Kobi, were our presenters; they led, guided, and supported students on the stage – thank you for your vital role in NAIDOC week. Each class shared what they had been focussing on for NAIDOC week, such as - paintings, stories, a play, re-designing the Australian flag, indigenous games, artistic designs using hands, dreamtime stories, songs, and stories using symbols to represent places, animals, and people. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time to ensure the celebration was so meaningful for students. If you are a member of the school’s Facebook page, please have a look at more photos on this site, www.facebook/campbellprimaryschoolcbr and if you should come to the front office there will be a slide show of photos that were taken.
