Cross Country Inner North Regionals
On Friday 4th June, around 50 of Campbell Primary’s best cross-country runners braved the fog, mud, and cold at Stromlo Forest Park to line up to test their skills against the best from 15 other schools in our region. With between 80 and 100 runners in each age category. It was a significant challenge for our runners who acquitted themselves beautifully. All team members are to be commended on their perseverance, determination, and sportsmanship in difficult conditions. They represented our school community extremely well, with every athlete completing their allocated course and many setting personal best times.
A special congratulations to those that were awarded ribbons in their events: Sam C (Yr 6) 3rd, Gretchen C (Yr 6) 3rd, Esme K (Yr 2) 3rd and Rosie A (Yr 5) 1st. Congratulations also to those who finished in the top ten of their division and will be invited to progress to the ACT Championships on 16th June - a huge accomplishment!
Thankyou to all of the CPS parents who made the trip to Stromlo to support their children and all of our runners on the day.
