Year 3
Year 3 have hit the ground running this term with lots of positive learning experiences! We have worked as a cohort to explore the importance of rules and democracy in civics and citizenship. We have also started learning some Auslan (Australian sign language). So far we have learnt the hand shapes, finger spelling, numbers to 10 as well as some conversation words and phrases.
We are very fortunate to have had Ms Penney organise Taekwondo clinics for us and are working hard towards our first belt.
In visual arts we have been experimenting with colours from the warm and cool palettes to make abstract pictures.
In drama we have been playing lots of improvisation games such as ‘I’m a tree’ and ‘magic box’ and have focused on using a range of high, medium and low levels with our bodies to create different tableaus.
We really loved being able to share our learning across the curriculum with our special visitors last week during Learning Journeys.
