Assessment and Rating in preschool- New summative report template

On 29th September through to 1st October, the Preschool’s Assessment and Rating (A&R) process was undertaken in our preschool rooms.  The goal is to assess and rate the quality of services, drive continuous improvement, and keep information for families and communities accurate and up to date.

The preschool team have reflected post the A&R and have re-designed the summative report template to better align with the Preschool Policy. Copies of the new template will be made available from 9th November at reception as well as on the Preschool community board. If you have any questions please touch base with Helen Scott, Emma Johnston, or myself.

For further information in the Assessment and Rating process please see the below website:

ICAS Certificates

This year ICAS Certificates will be handed out during Yumma (morning assembly) on 30th October. Due to the restrictions around COVID we won’t have families on site, however, a photograph will be taken and provided to families along with their child’s certificates.

Assemblies

Assemblies will remain the same as they did in term 3. There will be either a cohort or year group which hosts, and the items will be recorded and available on the Campbell Connects Classroom. If you require the code for the classroom, please contact me.

Year 3 will be hosting an assembly on 6th November and 4C will host on 4th December.

Tulips

It has been a pleasure to watch our Floriade Community flourish. On Tuesday last week, Kim delivered small bunches to each classroom as well as to the Southern Cross Age Care residents. The tulips were a lovely addition to all the spaces.

The Year 1 students worked with Ms Dee to create some digital artwork with the tulips (never a teaching moment missed!). Using the iPads the students did an incredible job capturing the beauty of each flower, experimenting with contrast and light exposure. Thank you, Maddie, Pearl and Henry, for sharing your artwork.
