Year 1 Learning Journey
Students in Year 1 were excited to take home their Learning Journey Passport together with some work samples to discuss, along with activities to complete with their families.
The ‘Colour Poem’ showcased just how well we are doing with our handwriting.
The Art Gallery photos represented some of the artworks we have completed this year and gave students an opportunity to discuss their favourites.

Families enjoyed playing the Place Value Path Game, one of the many games we play to consolidate our understanding of number in maths. “I loved doing the maths game because you are learning and I did it with Mum,” - Sophia. “I loved the maths game the best because it was fun.” - Emily
Many said how much they enjoyed going for a walk with their families around their local area discussing the natural, managed and constructed features they could see. “I liked going for a walk with my family because we talked about how to care for places. It was a really nice family walk.” - Pearl
Another activity was constructing an information report about an Australian animal. “I liked doing the information report because it was fun writing it with Mummy.” - Finn
Students also read a book and talked about their reading goals.
Another favourite activity was the collaborative line artwork that students completed with their families. “My favourite was the art activity because me and Mum did the art together,” - Hayden. “I liked doing the tulips because I liked doing the lines and colouring it in with Daddy.” Georgia
Congratulations Year 1 on sharing your learning with your families!
