National Health and Physical Education Day 2020
Last Wednesday was National Health and Physical Education Day. We had a lot of fun at Campbell Primary School participating in a range of activities that had our bodies moving and huffing and puffing.
Many of us came dressed in our team colours which helped to raise awareness of sport in our community.

During the day, Kindergarten to Year 2 enjoyed their dance sessions with Footsteps Dance Company. The focus for last week was Indigenous storytelling through dance using movement to represent both land and animals. Year 5 also participated in dance.
‘DJ Carney’ returned for a special appearance leading an up-tempo disco dance in the Quad at recess. Apparently, there was even a special guest appearance from 'DJ Kinsman'!
Volleyball Australia ran a clinic for 4C in the Hall and then coordinated a lunchtime ‘Come and try Volleyball’ session for interested students from years 3-6. So much fun!

Mr Lawson held his regular Dodgeball lunch time competition.
Junior students enjoyed a ‘Choose your Fave Rotation Activity’ which included a Ninja Warrior course, build up Tips, parachute dog-flipping, skipping, hula hooping and more.

'DJ Minehan' also had us moving and breaking into a sweat in our classrooms with several sessions of ‘Drop Everything and Move’ activity breaks throughout the day to tunes like “Let’s Get Physical”.
It was great to be out and about and enjoy the benefits of physical activity at school.
