Camo for a Cause

On Wednesday, 21 August, we held our fundraising event Camo For A Cause to help raise money in support of Legacy.

Our school has a significant number of defence families, and it was clear that this cause was deeply meaningful to our community.

We are thrilled to announce we raised $785.00 for Legacy.

Our celebrations started with camo face painting, which was applied while being educated on the finer tunes of the '80s. The soundtrack from Top Gun got both parents and students revved up and ready to get messy with vibrant camo paint. The best part was all the stories we heard from mums and dads who serve and have to wear the 'goop' when on exercise.

The whole school then enjoyed being energised by the Royal Military Jazz Band. For half an hour, they played the coolest music and had the whole playground bouncing around.

Even though it was too windy for the Air Force balloon to be inflated, students, including the preschoolers, enjoyed the demonstration given by Max, the extremely on-point pilot.

It was a recess to remember. Thank you to everyone who dressed up, got dirty and helped raise money for this very special cause.
