Deputy Principal's Report
Term 2 Review - Country
What an incredibly wonderful and busy term it has been at Campbell Primary School! Our whole-school Global Concept of ‘Country’ sparked many engaging learning opportunities that have inspired learners from Preschool to Year 6 to consider the ways that they can ‘care for country’ and pay respect to Indigenous cultures.
It has been exciting to observe even our littlest learners displaying earnest curiosity and care for the environment, cultures and people. Across the school, students have explored concepts like democracy, sustainability and Reconciliation. They have been empowered to express how they can make a difference in caring for our Earth and each other.
Each class/cohort has developed their own personalised Acknowledgement of Country, which we are hoping to collate and share with families very soon. We are also very much looking forward to starting our next Global Concept of ‘Connection’ in Term 3!
Individual Learning Plans - Term 3 Reviews
Early in Term 3, teachers will reflect on students’ current ILP/PLPs and determine ways that they can be improved to best meet the needs of students. Plans will be updated and shared with families by Week 3. The updated versions of ILP/PLPs aim to support learning for the remainder of the year.
Families will be notified if a meeting will be required to discuss the updated plan. If no meeting is required, you will receive a copy of your child’s plan. Parents are encouraged to read through the plan and let myself or the classroom teacher know of any feedback.
If you have any questions about ILP/PLPs, please feel welcome to contact myself or your child’s classroom teacher.
