Deputy Principal's Report
North/Gungahlin Cross Country Carnival
On Friday 31 May we were very proud to have around 50 students representing Campbell Primary School at the North/Gungahlin Cross Country Carnival. You may recall that it was a very wet day, which did not deter our incredible runners, who managed to do a fantastic job on the soggy terrain.
We have a remarkable FIVE students who qualified to represent our school in the ACT Championships; Mason T, Anna-Sophia B, Anneliese B, Oliver J and Jessica W. Big congratulations to all of our cross country runners! We are immensely proud of all participants!
I would also like to say a very sincere thank you to the many families who responded to our request for a parent volunteer on the day. We are so fortunate to have such a supportive community here at CPS.
Covid -19: A Gentle Reminder
Due to a recent increase in Covid-19 cases across the ACT, we are asking families to please refrain from sending their child to school if they display any Covid-19 symptoms or signs of being unwell.
In order to protect the safety and wellbeing of staff and students, we continue to ensure that all necessary health and hygiene advice is closely followed.
Key guidelines that we ask all community members to follow include:
- Wash your hands with soap and water or use hand-sanitiser regularly throughout the day
- Practice respiratory hygiene, by coughing into your elbow or a tissue
- Place used tissues straight into the bin and wash/sanitise your hands afterwards
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth
- Not sharing food or drink
We thank families for their ongoing support with keeping our community happy and healthy.
