Battle of the Coral Sea - 82nd Anniversary Commemorative Service
On Friday, 10 May our Year 4 students were given a special opportunity to represent our school, thanks to an invitation from Harriet Sutton, the president of our P&C committee.
Amelia C , Asra and Muzhda N and Austin H showcased exceptional hospitality skills as they warmly welcomed important guests, including representatives from Australia, Japan, and America. Instead of a traditional wreath, Amelia presented a captivating history book, symbolizing our enduring friendship with Japan and America. Muzhda, on the other hand, offered a beautiful posy of native flowers as a gesture of remembrance.
In a touching tribute to those who bravely fought in the historic battle of 1942, believed to have safeguarded Australia, our students gently floated fabric poppies at the Australia-American Memorial.
Once again, our students shone brightly, demonstrating immense pride and confidence in representing our school. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for this incredible opportunity.
