CASAC Assistant Director - position available

Assistant Director OSHC - Full time - Campbell Primary School P&C Association

About the Role

Are you an experienced, fun-loving Education and Care professional looking to make a positive impact on the lives of children? If so, this position may be for you! 

Campbell After School Activity Centre (CASAC) is looking for an Assistant Director to assist with the management of an exceeding rated Out of School Hours Care service. 

Duties will include:

  • Working alongside the Business Manager and Director to support the coordination of the service.
  • Creating a supportive, safe and engaging environment for children and young people.
  • Leading educators in the implementation and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate educational program.
  • Contributing to the development of the service’s policies and procedures.
  • Co-ordinating centre or service operations including Occupational Health and Safety, program planning, and staff training.
  • Supervising all employees within the service.

Required Skills and Experience

  • A genuine passion for working with children.
  • A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and Regulations as well as My Time, Our Place and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • At least two years of demonstrated experience in working directly with children.
  • Diploma of Education and Care or equivalent (ACECQA-approved), OR Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) is preferred.
  • A current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (ACT) / or willingness to obtain one (essential).
  • A current First Aid Qualification (HTAID012) / or willingness to obtain one.
  • Suitable rights to work in Australia.

CASAC provides Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care for Preschool - Year 6 children attending Campbell Primary School. The service is a not-for-profit organisation managed by the Campbell Primary School Parents & Citizens Association.
