Campbell Primary have been very privileged to host the University of Canberra Capitals women’s basketball team for a couple of years now; both for their Hoops Program and to help us open and test out our new basketball court. On Monday we were very excited to welcome Ricky and Nitya from one of the Canberra Capitals major sponsor, The Tradies Club, to help us present some very special prizes; 10 double passes to the opening game this Sunday! They asked us to keep an eye out for students displaying the qualities of a Cap – kindness, spirit and teamwork. It was a challenge that our staff took on with great enthusiasm and we were very excited to present the 10 passes to 10 very excited students from across all grade levels. We hope they help lift the roof at the game this weekend and cheer our Canberra team on to a great first game!

Next month will see the return of the Hoops program here for our Year 5 cohort; delivered by Caps stars. We know they will make the most of the opportunity and we can’t wait to watch their skill develop! A huge thank you to the Tradies Club for their continued sponsorship of this amazing program.
