Deputy Principal's Report
PAT Testing
This week, students in Years 2-6 have been participating in PAT testing for Mathematics, Reading, Grammar and Punctuation and Science. PAT (Progressive Achievement Test) is an online platform that we use to monitor student growth and achievement, designed to assess each student’s current capability against the appropriate standard for their age. We view the tests as a way for teachers to learn more about each student’s capabilities and then design learning programs that will help them improve. If you would like to chat further about PAT testing, please feel welcome to reach out to me.
End of Year ILP Meetings
Families of children on Individual/Personalised Learning Plans can expect to receive invitations to End of Year ILP/PLP Meetings in the coming weeks. These meetings are an opportunity for families to meet with classroom teachers and a member of the school’s Executive Team, and in some instances Annette Gloeckler (School Psychologist) will attend. The purpose of the end of year ILP/PLP meetings is to reflect on the learning that has taken place this year and determine the next steps for learners in 2024.
The date, time and location of the meetings will be displayed on each invitation. Due to the complexities of timetabling for these meetings, if you are unable to attend, the meeting will still take place during the allocated time and the ILP will be sent home to families.
We thank families for their flexibility and engagement in this process.
