Hello EAL/D Families,

The ACT Government sent out the following information about COVID-19 and pets.  We are sending a copy of it home today for your information.  We hope you are all keeping well.

There is currently no evidence of humans getting COVID-19 from pets or that pets play a role in the spread of the disease.   

There have also been no reports of any animals becoming sick with COVID-19 in Australia.

However, since animals can spread other diseases, always wash your hands with soap and water before and after touching animals.

As irresistible as they are, remember not to pat other people’s dogs when you’re out for a walk to assist with our social distancing measures.
