Last week was Science Week and Campbell Primary School were thrilled to welcome friends and family of our community into our learning communities for our 4^th STEM night. Planned by our senior science extension program students as a project with Ms Nguyen, and hosted exclusively on the night by student volunteers, it was an amazing night of physics, chemistry, technology and more! Didn’t our STEM guides do a fantastic job? We have such an awesome team of future leaders at Campbell Primary School.

These events take a lot of support and Campbell Primary School would like to extend some very special thanks to those who helped make it such a success. The Academy of Future Skills is pivotal to our STEM learning at Campbell Primary School.  Two years into our partnership, their instruction, support and access to equipment has been invaluable not just for STEM night but in our everyday learning. We can’t thank them enough for their amazing specialist support (and their planetarium!).

Thanks also to our always effervescent P&C for support with the BBQ and making our families feel so welcome.

We were also very fortunate to receive an ASTA Science Week grant which we used to purchase the “Makey Makey” electronics equipment that was not only a hit on STEM night but will also support electrical circuit learning at Campbell Primary School for years to come.

Finally, we wanted to thank all the parents and friends for their attendance and engagement with their children. We hope you had a great time, and we look forward to seeing what Science Week 2024 will bring!
