Campbell Primary School has had a long-standing commitment to caring for our environment – it’s even in our school song! We have stepped that up in recent years through the addition of solar and rainwater tanks, paper recycling, the amazing senior initiative worm farm and food waste collection, even our fantastic garden club program. Last term we added new 10c recyclables collection to the list! With the purchase of a few special wire bins and some education we have been hard at work collecting our glee cans, yakult bottles, juice boxes, up n go cartons and other eligible containers.

In just one term we have saved 720 containers from landfill while also collecting $72 for our school. That’s nearly 3 full wheelie bins of recyclables! This term we have revised our goal to try and achieve 100% of eligible containers into our special bins during school hours.

We have also found a way for our families to participate too! Introducing “ReCollect”!

What is ReCollect? A door-to-door bottle collection service that makes refundable recycling and fundraising easier than 1,2,3:
