Congratulations to the 19 Campbell Primary School students selected for the small (but mighty) swim team to take on around 15 other schools at the North Gungahlin Regional Swimming Carnival on Monday. To just make the team they not only had to finish in the top 2 overall from their CPS swimming carnival heats, but they also had to meet minimum qualifying times – no easy feat!

It was fantastic to see our students' pride and enthusiasm at the AIS pool, with plenty of CPS gold caps giving their all in the water. Official results are yet to be released but there was a significant number of CPS students finishing in the top 3 of their heats and we are confident that some will qualify to compete again at the ACT carnival next term. Regardless of the results, we are incredibly proud of this crew of swimmers and their outstanding athletic effort, but more importantly of their sportsmanship and encouragement of all other participants. Campbell students are Safe, Respectful, Learners and it was great to see our PBL on full display to the region!

A special thanks to the parents and carers who took the day to support our students in getting to and from the AIS and preparing for their events. It takes a community to make these days a success and we are so grateful for ours!
