Executive Teachers' Report
NAPLAN - Next Week
Next week our Years 3 and 5 students will be participating in NAPLAN assessments.
The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday 15 March - Writing assessment
Thursday 16 March - Reading and Conventions of Language assessments
Friday 17 March - Numeracy assessment
Monday 20 March - Catch up day for students who were absent
NAPLAN is an annual national assessment for all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. The tests cover skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation, and numeracy. We ask that students in years 3 and 5 arrive at school on time on NAPLAN days. This will help us run the assessments with as few disruptions as possible and ensure a smooth start to the day for our participants.
We wish all of our participating students the best of luck!
Harmony Day - Tuesday 21 March
We are very excited to be celebrating Harmony Day with our buddies across the school later this term! Cross-cohort groupings like ‘buddies’ are a wonderful way for our younger students to build relationships with older students, and for our older students to experience mentoring and supporting someone less grown up than themselves!
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone, and is an important annual celebration on Campbell Primary School’s calendar!
Keep an eye out for correspondence from our Year 6 leaders about dressing in orange/cultural dress on the day.
