Principal's Report

Dear families,

It is hard to believe that we have already passed the mid-point of Term 1!  It has been a very productive and exciting term and we look forward to more opportunities to learn and work together with families throughout the year.  It has been an absolute delight to feel the buzz of excitement during our Year 1 / 2 reading groups! Thank you to all the mums, dads, and grandparents who have been able to join us to share a love of reading.

School Fete

On Saturday 25 March, Campbell Primary School P&C are hosting a school fete.  As a small school we would love you all to attend and encourage friends and families to pop in and make the day an amazing community event!  A huge thank you to all of the P&C for the behind the scene work that goes into organising such a great event.

NAPLAN

Next week students in Year 3 and 5 will participate in NAPLAN.  NAPLAN provides a snapshot in time of your child’s performance on a particular day. It does not reflect the learning that they are doing in the classroom, or the variety of methods used in school for students to demonstrate their progress.  We wish all our children participating well and encourage them to try their best on the day, but not to worry if they find it challenging.  There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the year to showcase student learning through authentic learning experiences.

Clean up Australia Day

On Friday the students at Campbell Primary School participated in clean up Australia day events.  Classes across the school all assisted in cleaning up designated areas to maintain high standards in our outdoors learning environments, develop their personal responsibility and their understanding of sustainability.

Don’t forget to LIKE and FOLLOW our Facebook and your Seesaw class access to support learning conversations at home.

Excursions and Permission due dates

You will have noticed, as per the latest permission notes sent home, we are no longer able to accept notes past the due date.

All permission, medical & volunteer notes must be returned to the Front Office by the due date. Please ensure the deadline is met as late returns will unfortunately mean that your child will not be allowed to attend or participate in the activity. We must have accurate student and staff attendee numbers to complete risk assessments before any school events, and notes received after the due date prevent us from completing this process within the required timeframe.

To avoid the disappointment of missing out, you must ensure your child/ren's notes are returned prior to the due date.

Building works

Over the next few weeks building works will continue at the school in preparation for the construction of our new basketball court and the relocation of the shed and bike racks. I apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause as we adapt to our continually changing play areas.
