Buddy Reading in 1/2

This week we began Buddy Reading in the Year 1/2 classrooms.  We were fortunate to have several families visit to read with a small group of students.

Buddy Reading is a beautiful opportunity to read aloud to practise fluency, share the experience of reading with a peer and is a great excuse to have families back in the school!

The morning sessions start at 9am on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

 

 

Volunteers in Kindergarten

We would like to invite families into the Kindergarten classrooms in the morning to work with students during their independent reading sessions.  In the past, parents have been available to read with students and change home readers.

If you are available to support, please email either Esther Riebe (esther.riebe@ed.act.edu.au) or Fleur Forster (fleur.forster@ed.act.edu.au). We would love to see parents/carers back in the classrooms.
