It’s my favourite and least favourite time of year! I love summer and the festive season, so much light and colour (and I get to break out my 20+ Christmas shirts). But it also the time when we farewell many of our families; either through graduation, moves to schools closer to home, and of course the inevitable ADF posting. This year is no different and while we are saddened to see these families go, while also excited for the many adventures they have to come. For our more than 20 ADF families that are off on the next stage of their journey, either on posting or discharge, we wish them the very best for the uplift and relocation to come. May their temp accommodation be suitable, and all their boxes arrive safely!

We have had a massive adventure this year. Starting out in our temporary classrooms with lingering restrictions on camp, excursions and assembles to full circle with fantastic whole school events like our Remembrance Commemoration, STEM night, disco and of course athletics carnival. We have weathered construction, illness, constant change, and disruption and come out as a strong and united community at the other end – true credit to our amazing families! We are excited for what next year will bring for all of our returning families and with all of the new friends joining us for 2023.

We will miss all the families that are moving, but they will always be a part of the Campbell Family. In the grand tradition of Defence Families we won’t (and don’t) say goodbye, instead saying “see you later”. We hope 2023 is amazing for you all! Please send us a postcard.
